With Danny Green (supported by customers of his Danny Green Photography travel agency) on the schedule, Pieter-Jan, master brain behind our exclusive Svalbard tour, is going to lead his first international group next Easter on Svalbard. Given their outstanding photographic results of Polar Bears in previous years, he and Karl (another EB5 guide) will give a photographic presentation for the audience on the Svalbard spectacle next December in Antwerp. We’re quite sure that after a viewing of the amazing photos of Polar Bears, Arctic Foxes and other arctic wildlife one cannot be anything other than impressed by their photographic skills!
Back stage a lot is happening in relation to several of our tours we offer – Spain, India, Poland, Belarus, Svalbard.
Spain: Next September both David ‘Billy’ Herman and Jan are guiding in Spain for large carnivores. We, of course, are curious ourselves about what autumn will bring us there! How many Cantabrian brown bears will we observe during their autumn feeding on blue berries near Somiedo? Will wolf pups still hang around near the packs the Picos and Culebra areas host? Will wildcats still be hunting in full view on the cut meadows? What about Iberian lynxes? Will we be as successful in the Donana area as we are in the Andujar area? Be of no doubt a Starling blog report will follow Jan and Billy’s simultaneous Spain visits!
India (Snow Leopards): There are still places available so you can also still subscribe or ask about our guaranteed Snow Leopard departure that runs during the year change period. All information is available by clicking the URL of our partner Starling: http://www.starlingreizen.be/e
Poland: We get a lot of requests relating to our Bieszczady tour that we offer in this Eastern Europe country. Don’t hesitate to do the same so we can get the spring tour details fixed.
Belarus: Our first ultimate spring Belarus tour (May 2017) has come together nicely. We nearly have a full tour with Belgian participants only. In 2018 this tour is on offer to all! The tour is all about looking for iconic bird species in pristine, vast and unspoiled areas. Moreover large carnivores and iconic ungulates like Bison are resident in the areas we will visit too. A trip to look forward too!
Svalbard: Both our 2017 Svalbard scooter tours are already fully booked and we already have a request for the 2018 tour! This being an exclusive tour to us it is one of our most popular and successful tours we run and offer!
A first photographic orientated Svalbard snow scooter tour will run during Easter. This stems from a spate of bookings following EB5’s presence over the last two years at the British Birdfair at Rutland Water and during the Lowland photofestival in Antwerp. In fact 2017 is also fully booked as is the international tour in 2018. This year all participants are nationals, next year we will combine both a national and an international tour. PJ’s local knowledge and network in combination with his pre- tour prospection ensures a successful tour. This year’s tour has high expectations as already one rather cooperative Polar Bear is present along the East Coast! Fingers crossed to keep the area as frosty as possible!

During the same period we will also being running our Poland tour. Last year both tours were extremely successfull so up to you to decide which tour you want to go on. Don’t forget to check out the respective trip reports in our website trip reports section. Different this year in Poland is that our large carnivore hide is occupied for three weeks instead of just one like it was last year. Brown Bears, Wolves and Bison have all been photographed as they past by our trailcam. You will even be able to view in the dead of night with a night vision camera (from the 27th of March onwadrs) which is now available for clients.
